If like me when the sun comes out in the spring, you feel you want to refresh the house and start a decorating spree!
One simple and cost effective way of revamping the look of a room is re-painting the furniture. It lifts the space and gives it a whole new refreshed feel.
I’ve been using a couple of brands of paint lately that are low in VOC’s (the stinky bit) which I like to use when decorating at home, especially with little ones around.
One brand which is great to work with is Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint they come in the most delicious colours and the bonus is, you don’t need to prep the area first, seriously – no sanding, no priming just jump right on in there and start painting!

The other paint which I’ve developed a bit of a soft spot for is Little Green. These Child Safe Paints come in a fantastic range of colours, so you’re sure to find one that you’ll fall in love with.
